El Cortez San Diego
702 Ash Street, San Diego, CA 92101
Inspired by the revival of the Spanish Renaissance, the historic El Cortez building is the oldest building in Downtown San Diego. Built in 1927, its architecture is unmatched, giving the exterior an aesthetic that is unique and irreplicable. This is what makes the El Cortez building a landmark in the neighborhood of Cortez Hill and the city of San Diego.
This 16-story building was renovated into a residence in 2004 and consists of 94 units in total. Don’t be fooled by the antique look of El Cortez’s exterior – the interior is much more contemporary. The units come fiber ready, so accessing high-speed internet isn’t an issue. There have also been upgrades made to the plumbing, electrical system, and heating and cooling systems.
El Cortez features a range of amenities, including a pool, a gym, a spa, a community grill area, 24-hour valet service, a doorman as well as an extremely spacious terrace. There is also a homey cafe situated on the ground floor, where you can grab a cup of deliciously brewed coffee as you head out to work in the morning.
Live in the heart of San Diego’s history at El Cortez.
